30th May 2012

Man the legs are really feeling like sissies after the last three days. But here is the results from today.

STRENGTH

A.) Worked up to 315 LB or 143.08 KG in 6 minutes. Felt like a good weight but holy shiitte it got heavy in the ladder.

B.) Completed the 1..2..3..4..5.. ladder for 3 whole rounds with 2 minutes rest in between rounds
Completed all of this at 315 LB or 143.08 KG, man it hurrtt!!! But I loveee ittt!! Yeah, I probably am nuts!!

GYMNASTIC

Love this movement, have been working on it a bit after just getting my first one just over 6 months ago

Tried to see if I could do the ladder of 8,7,6,5,4,3,2,1 however could not get the 8 on first try or 7 o 6 at all. So I completed the following:

5,4,3,3,2,2,3,2,1 in 11:02

I probably could have gone faster but was trying to practice form and get as much as possible each time. Can't believe I only got 1 on the last one, pretty irritating!!

METCON

HOLY CRAP is all I have to say for this METCON, definitely had my quads and grip burning!!

Performed the METCON in 13:22 with 185 LB or 84.09 KG for Prowler and used 90 LB DB's or 40.90 KG for Farmers!!

Tomorrow is a REST DAY!! I usually am anxious on rest days but I have to say I am looking forward to tomorrow's!!!

NOTEIf anyone is stumbling across this BLOG and wonders why I am vague on the specifics for the Workout I am doing, well it's on purpose. For those of you that follow the RAW Strength and Conditioning Program you will know exactly what the workout was and what I am talking about. Thanks!!

METCON

ON Minute Every Minute for 15

4 ??? (those at RAW know what this is?)
4 ??? (Diddo...))

Completed every round  without breaking up any of the sets. Felt pretty good about this
considering those two things are big weaknesses of mine!!1

Overall, it was a pretty good day. I was fairly irritated about the first Olympic and failing at the High Thigh. I really thought I had that one. But, I am definitely getting stronger in the upper body and my conditioning is getting better as well. Gotta say, I am loving the training and doing RAW Strength and Conditioning I believe will get me to the level I want to be. Thanks Rob!!

RAW Strength and Conditioning Training Log

Olympic
A.)
SET 1: 135 Good
SET 2: 135 Good on 1st, failed 2nd (tried to rush the movement and ended up losing balance!)
SET 3: 135 Good

B.)
SET 1: 145 Good
SET 2: 145 Good
SET 3: 145 Good

Notes: I probably could of gone heavier on the 2nd of the Olympic Lifts, however it seemed as though the instructions were to work on Speed, so I tried to pick a medium/heavy weight!

Strength
5 X 5 for 205LBS

No failures, every rep was good. Definitely felt destroyed after the 4th and 5th sets. Those last couple reps were brutal!!

METCON:

13:03
I really thought I was going to do better on this one, but I didn't feel well today on the HSPU's, definitely took too much of the time as I was around 10:03 when starting them. Would love to be able to do this one Sub-10.

Well, this is the first blog of my training. If you are a follower of the RAW Strength and Conditioning Program you will know what lifts I performed today and can stack them up against yours and hopefully I can do the same. If you are not, well what are you waiting for? Haha

thanks
Greg.
